thanks alot.
only after 1991 i found out how many things i was deprived off. one of
them internet, the priceless gift. i can not understand when somebody
begins to express nostalgia about leaders of the russian past. somebody
says this is heirs of privileged families speak, another version tells
about psychic emitters spread all over the country.my opinion it is inability to overcome early memories of soviet propaganda.
too much of minor forbidding changes in law, too much opened hate to
America in discussions with procremlin anonimous authors. may be the
second half of Andropov's plan begins to work. i trust to argumentation
of Valeria Novodvorskaya, an old russian dissident. She says that KGB
can be stopped only by death or at least prison.

it is good trick to simulate your own death in the sight of the enemy.
but according to several public statements of prime-minister Putin,
such as "end of USSR was geopolitical catastrophe" and "order to gain
highest political power in Russia is complete" we can conclude that
there may be hidden hierarchy in Cremlin, where former president and
current prime-minister is still only a colonel. though he is the most
influential known person in Russia, his basic type is executor, not
leader.
it is not important wether mr Putin is true leader or not; his team,
especially unknown, secret part of it has people, money, skills and
hunger for past geopolitical power. somebody can say that their
possibilities only shadow of soviet strength and he will be right, but
the most deathbringing blows does not require much strentgth, it
requires high presicion and anger. besides, todays russian criteria of
geopolitical power is not the strong economy or growing population, the
main sign of prestige is opposition to USA. more tension means more
prestige. and old soviet cadres value prestige more than human lives.

many of russians believe that Soviet empire was the only way of
geopolitical balance and this balance must be reached at any cost, even
with the cost of war. situation is profitable for anyone who uses revanchist
slogans. huge remains of soviet weaponry tempt each russian leader to claim
course of gainig imperial power.
another source of Kremlin confidence is the agents,
conspired all over the world. any political figure, dependant from
illegal activities, is aim for recruitment. i could bet that closed top secret KGB/FSB
archives in Lubyanka contain much unpleasant information about famous names. that is one of the reasons why current Moscow regime has support in the UN and even in USA. secret expenditures of oil money also good helper for outer Russian ambitions.
the fire of Cold War appeares almost extinguished, but under the ashes there are hot live coals, ready to burn.

I hope there will be no new round of the Cold War. It would not be good for either country. Russia paid such a great cost during World War Two or what you call the Great Patriotic War in defeating the fascists. The Cold War and communists suppressed freedom and advancement of the Russian people. The money that both our countries spent cannot be afforded again by either of our countries.

judging by yesterday shots between South Ossetia and Georgia and judging by consentration of Russian army forces at that region, the quest for rebirthing USSR continues. even John Baiden's visit in Tblisi could not stop it.
Communists not only suppressed Russians and other nations, they turned population into maniaks, i'm saying it straightly. current crime statistics and my personal experience prove it. that is another dark theme, a historical origin and spread of Cremlin sadism.

What followed was a decade of economic horror, at least as most Russians viewed it.... the author did not take into account that finances of Communist party stayed in old hands and political control proceeded to another former communist family. outward appearance means nothing for Communist party, it was created and developed first 15-20 years in conditions of persecutions and conspiracy. further, George Friedman tells undisputable truth: ... Russia has been an economic wreck for most of its history, both under the czars and under the Soviets. The geography of Russia has a range of weaknesses,
as we have explored. Russia’s geography, daunting infrastructural
challenges and demographic structure all conspire against it. But the
strategic power of Russia was never synchronized to its economic
well-being. Certainly, following World War II the Russian economy was
shattered and never quite came back together. Yet Russian global power
was still enormous. A look at the crushing poverty — but undeniable
power — of Russia during broad swaths of time from 1600 until Andropov
arrived on the scene certainly gives credence to Putin’s view.... it is not important, whether old Communist will rule Russia or their KGB/FSB successors, the main purpose of Russian state did not change: that is pursuit for power and military expansion.

PNV its for conquest. an old tradition from times of the rising Moscow principate in 1400-s. from that years territory under their control increased in 50 times, mostly to the east.

country size is the source of pride. before 1917 monarchic house
positioned themselves as warrior dynasty; Stalin continued
glorification of Russian/Soviet military power. chain of army parades at Red Square interrupted for a short term of Yeltsin's rule.
as for me, it was hard to dissociate self from common pride; two years in Russian Army as private helped me very much.

PNV i served 2000-2002, fully ready to make war for motherland. it was useful for understanding that something is wrong, salary about 1 dollar per month, bad food, stealed munition, criminal clashes at night, other things. today i see how foolish i was. thanks to good people in headquarters who did not allowed me to go to Chechnya. let heavens send them more health and good luck. i'm disappointed, "motherland" owed me 2 years of youth. also, they made me a fool and could spend my life on their true purposes without respect.

Jerry in my opinion majority of russian population believes to 1 TV channel, the Putin's and Lavrov's speaking trumpet. i look it rarely, but at http://www.1tv.ru i observed nothing about vice-president Biden's speech in Georgian parliament. judging by online, officials try to avoid statements about verity of Biden's conclusions in the interview to The Wall Street Journal; instead they speak about "purposes" of such expressions. and there're tens (if not hundreds) of censored commentaries about his words that Russia will bend to USA. in the question of Georgian-Ossetian tension i trust to Andrey Piontkovsky, american political analyst of russian origin; he says that there is inner struggle in Kremlin. i believe that "hawks" always had more power, and Putin's personal injury about Saakashvili is strong. next reason of future aggression is urge towards oil&gas monopoly, so yes, Russia will sent more troops. Kremlin will send majority of unoccupied battle-worthy troops into South
Ossetia, that's my opinion. by unconfirmed rumours, war will begin from
friday to saturday of current week.
