In reading some of the comments on this site, it appears some of the members have medals and ribbons representing their duties and service and some do not have anything other than an honorable DD214. Wether or not a Cold War Medal of some design will or will not ever be approved, there is an action you might want to consider, here it is; AMVETS have once again stood for us and you, by asking for and sponcoring at the congressional level for congress to approve The Cold War Victory Medal. You might want to consider this to be a positive action by AMVETS, if you do, then consider joining AMVETS, give them your support and if you decide to attend a parade or just wear it for what ever you choose, then consider purchasing an AMVETS cover with the AMVETS Logo thereon along with the Cold War Veteran Pin or wear your ACWV cover with Cold War Veteran Pin and STAND TALL , you earned it.
